Beco Butterfly 2 Baby Carrier
Just as light and beautiful as one would expect from the name, the Beco Butterfly 2 is now available in France!
The new Butterfly 2 model was officially launched September 2008, and comes with features such as the removable infant insert, the inside panel, a removable hood, and a stay put strap.

Removable Infant Insert: Beco Butterfly 2 is the ONLY ergonomic carrier on the market with this patent-pending feature. The infant insert enables even the smallest babies to ride safely and comfortably, in an ergonomically-correct position. The infant insert can be removed once the baby outgrows the need for it. Recommended use for infant insert is 7-15 lbs. The infant insert is INCLUDED with purchase, no need to purchase additional accessories to have a complete carrying solution.

Inside Panel: The shoulder straps of the baby carrier are attached to the carrier's inside panel, which improves the distribution of the baby's weight (thus the carrier is VERY comfortable for the wearer and the baby), and it enables parent's to pass baby from one wearer to another without taking the baby out of the carrier. This is especially convenient for example if the baby is sleeping.
The inside panel contributes to the safe use of the carrier (baby sits between this panel and the outside main body of the carrier, these two components together creates a harness for baby's body). Loading the baby on wearer's back is much safer and easier with this inside panel, because it prevents baby from slipping down (or falling out).
The panel is made of fabric, so that it does not interfere with some of the most important aspects of babywearing. The baby still benefits from feeling close to the wearer, and the T-shape allows for easy access for breastfeeding.
Removable Hood: The main purpose of the hood/head rest is to support a sleeping child's head, but it can be also used as a protection from elements. The hood tucks away easily into the waist belt pocket when not in use, and can be used with a back or front carry.
Stay Put Strap: Consists of a simple 1" wide belt with two d-rings, which is sewn at the waist belt and serves the purpose of keeping the baby carrier rolled neatly up for storage. Also great for those moments when the little one wants to get down and walk halfway through a walk, the Beco can be easily rolled up around the waist. In this way a hip carry is also possible, using the rolled-up Beco as a seat. Although the wearer would need a hand to keep child seated on the hip, it is more healthy and comfortable then pushing ones hip out to create a 'seat' for the baby.
Beco Butterfly 2 is for babywearers between 145cm to 188cm (4'9” - 6'2"). Unlike other carriers, the Beco Butterfly 2 is comfortable for tall and/or small alike.
On top of all the great functionality, it's such a beautiful carrier!
Our opinion? Babywearing with the Beco Butterfly 2 is a real pleasure, both physically and esthetically.
